The fuse is a safety device which protects the circuit from over heating. We make use of fuses in our cars and other radios etc. When in travel, incase there is problem with your fuse and find no shop nearby for the replacement of the fuse. You need not worry as there is an alternative which would bring you out of the emergency. It is the bubble gum wrapper which is metal foil by replacing the worn out fuse wire with it. Since the metal has the capacity to conduct electric current this could work. But it would work only for a short period the permanent solution could only be replacement of the fuse with a new one.
